"G-20 shelves bank tax to focus on growth, reform"…for now.

How many of
you are
aware that a global banking tax is being worked on? I came across this
through a business site, but I haven’t seen it on any of the
"mainstream" sites. So, who is going to be the collector and enforcer
of this new tax? Will it be an entity beyond our United State
government? Somehow I missed the part in our
constitution about authorizing a
global tax upon us, and the last time I checked, taxation without
representation was a part of what lead to a revolution. And, of course,
who will be the ones this tax will be passed along to?

"Although it has the
support of the
Obama administration and many European nations, other countries whose
banks were not the cause of the financial crisis — such as Canada and
Japan — have objected strongly to the bank-tax idea."
